About Us

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Hockey Organization is a certified 501(c) (3) charity and operates as a totally volunteer organization run by volunteers with both national and state level programs. This organization is open to all people willing to donate their time, talent and financial support.

Please take a moment to learn more about this organization, which is in its first year of existence, but plans to be around for a long time. This organization is dedicated to keeping the cost of youth hockey to a minimal for children who are interested in participating in this sport.

It is a program to introduce our youth to a sport in which they cannot afford to play.
It brings family and friends together to watch their children play.
It also teaches teamwork and sportsmanship.

How does this program work?

Each participant that joins youth hockey will play approximately 20 games a year and have a chance to play in a CAN/AM Challenge Cup Tournament at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York.

This organization is open to children:

Who may not be able to afford to play hockey.
Who wants to play a sport, where every one on the team gets to play.
Who wants to learn teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline.
Who wants to make friends and be part of a team.
Who wants to have FUN!!!

Unfortunately, our largest expense, the cost of ice time, also continues to grow. Thus, as a non-profit organization, we depend heavily upon sponsors to keep rates affordable for families. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to our non-profit club.
